Samba Samba evening is the latest event from Southend's multi cultural festival "Out of the Box"
"Out of the Box" is a successful annual festival to celebrate Southend's rich cultural diversity, allowing festival goers to embrace many different cultures and art forms throughout October.
Popular Brazilian band Caratinga will present the evening on Friday 8th October from 7.30pm. The band has performed widely over the UK and beyond, including performances at the Eden Project and the Royal Albert Hall.
The evening promises to be one of lively music, with percussion, mandolin, guitars and vocals in the informal setting of the Cliffs Pavilion's Maritime Rooms.
The evening is open to all, visitors and residents, with tickets costing £5 each. Tickets can be purchased on the door, or in advance from 01702 215624.
Councillor Derek Jarvis, Southend-on-sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture says: "This is another great event from the 'Out of the Box' festival, and one that shouldn't be missed!
"This is a great chance to enjoy some fabulous Brazilian music, and possibly an opportunity to experience something new and exciting."
