Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is pleased to announce a new season of its ever popular Concert Series beginning in October.
The series, which boasts eight concerts per year, will feature a wide variety of professional musicians ranging from solo pianists to chamber ensembles, duos, quartets, vocal groups and much more.
The first concert in the series features The Locrian Ensemble, one of London's finest groups of string players and will be held on Friday 15th October at 8pm in the Plaza Centre on Southchurch Road, Southend.
The group performs widely across the UK , Europe and US, giving performances at major festivals and music clubs.
Their programme will feature three wonderful pieces of chamber music - Schubert's String Trio in Bflat and String Quintet and Mendelssohn's Octet.Tickets are priced at £9.00 for non-members and £6.00 for members.
