How do you fancy putting on your hats and scarves and taking an hour out of the busy pre-Christmas rush to get in the festive spirit?
Priory Park is set to be host to a traditional Christmas carol concert on Sunday19th December at 2pm.
At the perfect setting of the famous Southend Band Stand, Southend's own Band and Choral Society will present an hour-long family concert of audience carols, seasonal music and festive fun.
This is a free event open to all the family, and both visitors and residents of Southend are welcome to attend.
Seating will be provided and tasty refreshments will be on sale from the Park Café.
Councillor Derek Jarvis, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture, said: "Southend Band Stand has long been a major performance venue during the summer months, so why not use it in the winter?
"What better way to get in the festive spirit than going down with all the family and singing some carols?"
