Are you struggling for inspiration when it comes to finding something to do with the children as a week off school looms over the horizon? Well fret not - help could be at hand!
Why not try enrolling yourselves and the kids at a circus skills workshop, one of a host of fun-filled family activities being made available for FREE over the half-term holiday?
From Monday 31st May to Sunday 6th June, between 10am and 6pm, free family fun activities will be available at leisure centres across Southend-on-Sea .
Among the activities being laid on are swimming, diving, canoeing, mini-games, trampolining and a family circus workshop.
Sessions are taking place at Warriors Swim Centre, Chase Sports and Fitness Centre, Shoebury Leisure Centre, the Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre and Belfairs Swim Centre.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture, Councillor Derek Jarvis, said: "This is a terrific chance for families to enjoy the half-term holiday together.
"Lots of parents take time off from work during the school holidays so they can spend quality time with their children, but it's often difficult to find activities suitable for the entire family.
"These sessions provide a fantastic opportunity for mums and dads to have fun with their children locally, and it won't cost the family a penny."
