Southend Airport – Judicial Review decision

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council has received notification from the High Court.
The Council can confirm that it has been notified that the application for permission to apply for Judicial Review of its decision to grant planning permission to London Southend Airport Company Ltd to extend its runway has been refused.
The judge, the Honourable Mr Justice Cranston, found that none of the grounds of challenge to the planning process were arguable and that the Council had acted quite correctly.
