Southend-on-Sea Borough Council would like to clarify the position with regards to its Home Library Service following an article which appeared in the Southend Evening Echo on Tuesday 22nd March.
The article suggested that the Home Library Service could be 'hit' as a result of the efficiencies being considered in order to set a balanced budget for 2011/12.
The Council is very aware of the huge difference the Home Library Service makes to many people in the borough and would like to assure all users of the service that it plans to continue operating it in its current format for the foreseeable future.
