Strings for spring!

The acclaimed Coull String Quartet is set to present a spectacular mix of music at a special recital at 8pm on Friday 20th May.

 

 

 

Their programme at the Plaza Centre, Southchurch Road , Southend, features traditional and contemporary works in a wonderful mix of colours, moods and melodies.

It includes Haydn's Bird Quartet Op 33 No 3, Cowie's Birdsong Bagatelles, Delius' Late Swallows and Dvorak's American Quartet Op 96.

The Coull Quartet is Quartet in Residence at Warwick University and has performed and broadcast extensively throughout USA, Europe, China, India, Australia, South America and the Far East. In addition the quartet has made many recordings and appeared at major festivals.

This exceptional evening is one of a series of professional chamber music concerts promoted by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council and offers residents and visitors excellent, professional concerts at greatly discounted prices.

Members of the Southend Concert Series can purchase discounted tickets priced £6 (£5concessions). Non-member tickets are available at £8 (£7 concessions).
