Westbourne Grove repairs

Residents and visitors are urged to take note of essential road repairs in Westbourne Grove next week, where the carriageway is being re-constructed.
These repairs are imperative. Due to vehicles parked either side of the road, all traffic travelling along the road uses the centre of the carriageway. The excessive wear and tear has damaged this section of the road.
This work is expected to take four days, from Monday 9th May to Thursday 12th May, and during this period, the road will need to be closed from 8am till 6pm daily.
Traffic will be diverted from Westbourne Grove down Prittlewell Chase or Fairfax Drive to Victoria Avenue and then back up London Road .
Residents of Westbourne Grove have been warned of these forthcoming works.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council apologises to residents and visitors for the inconvenience during these vital repairs, and would encourage people to allow extra time for their journeys.
Details of the diversions are available on the Council's website www.southend.gov.uk or call 01702 2150
