Sign up soon to add your voice to a spectacular singing day in Southend on Saturday 1st October.
Anyone from 15 years old upwards who enjoys singing together in a large chorus, is invited to take part in this event - something special to look forward to when summer slips away.
It will be led by popular conductor and singer, Brian Kay, who is former member of the famous King's Singers. He has been a musical director of many festivals, choral societies and operas worldwide.
Brian will be leading the participants from 11am at the event at Southend High School for Girls, Southchurch Boulevard, Southend, which will cover repertoire from Gounod to Gilbert and Sullivan. An informal concert will be given at 4pm for family and friends to attend.
Copies of the music can be borrowed on the day, refreshments can be purchased there, and parking will be available in the school grounds.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said:"Southend has a very strong musical tradition, so workshops like this attract singers from across Essex and beyond. It offers everyone the exhilarating chance to sing in harmony with a very large group of people."
The day will cost £14 or £13 for Advantage Card holders.
