Cello star gives free concert!

Brilliant young cellist Laura Isaacson is set to demonstrate her formidable talents at a captivating concert at Southend Civic Centre.
She will present a 45-minute programme of music for cello and piano by Handel, Schumann, Debussy and Weber, from 12.15pm on Wednesday 6th July at the Civic Centre in Victoria Avenue, Southend.
Laura, who studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music and then the Juillard School, has won many top awards, and now performs widely across Britain, Europe and America.
She will be accompanied by Mawa Tayama who studied in Tokyo and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. His repertoire also includes concertos with professional orchestras, chamber music and solo performances.
This is the final concert in this season's series of popular free lunchtime concerts at the Civic Centre.
The new season will be launched on Wednesday 14th September by the acclaimed jazz duo, Digby Fairweather and Tony Compton
