Local Authors' Day

The Forum Southend-on-Sea are supporting local Author Ann Duggans Robson in a new venture: Southend Area Local Authors’ Day, the event is also known as SALAD

On Saturday the 28th March at 10am - 4pm The Forum Southend-on-Sea are supporting local Author Ann Duggans Robson in a new venture: Southend Area Local Authors’ Day, the event is also known as SALAD. It is hoped that this will become an annual event.

SALAD will introduce locally based authors to the general public in the Forum Foyer. The authors will chat about their work in an informal setting with their books for sale and an opportunity for signing.

It is hoped that this will be a colourful and informative event that will be enjoyed by children, teenagers and adults alike. There is a wide range of literature to choose from historical, fiction, non-fiction, children's fiction, steampunk and science fiction.

Ann Duggans Robson will be launching her third book in The Pinkmouse Gang series 'Zippit and Lee go to Southend on sea”. The story written for Southend's participation in The Essex Book Festival is based in and around Southend. Ann will also be showing life-size sculptures of the characters Percy and Pamela.

There will be ten participating authors on the day: Dee Gordon, Simon Woodward, Dennis Thompson, Tessa Buckley, Carya Gish, Ian Yearsley, Una Rose, Pamela Shine, Ann Duggans Robson and Sarah Smith.

The Event is part of the Essex Book Festival 2015 and entry is free!
