Listen up! Talented musicians are set to sing up a storm on Southend Pier on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September.
The performers are taking part in an innovative busking festival being held from 12 noon until 4pm on both days - and there is still a chance for more acts to take part.
Among the artists signed up so far include Lewis Floyd Henry, Breakneck Static, Ethereal Fire, Silbury Hill, The Isinglass Affair, Steve Pilley, Tim Sully, The Lamps and many more.
Lewis Floyd Henry, who is playing for an hour from 3pm on Saturday 24th September, is a unique one-man band who manages to play guitar and a mini drum kit at the same time.
He uses a pram to transport his equipment and gained fame after being signed on the spot to a record label whose staff saw him busking in London's Brick Lane.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis, said: "This busking weekend is a very exciting new venture on the Pier.
"If it proves as popular as it we hope it will be, we would like it to become an annual event.
"Southend Pier is already an iconic attraction for residents and visitors and it becomes even more magnetic with the added draw of live music at the Pier Head.
"We hope as many people as possible will come to experience this fun festival which showcases current musical talent.
"If anyone would like to join the buskers already on the bill we would encourage them to contact our Pier Visitor Information Centre on 01702-618747 as soon as possible!"
