Adults who have never learned to ride a bike, or have lost their cycling confidence, are invited to join a new Bikeability course.
This takes place in Priory Park, Southend, at 9:30am on Saturday 17th September and is being run by the Cycle Southend team.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Public Protection, Waste and Transport, Councillor Tony Cox said: "We already offer Bikeability training to all schoolchildren in the borough, but this course on Saturday 17th September is specially for the grown-ups.
"Many adults who have not cycled for years, or who have never properly learned to ride a bike, may be very tentative about cycling.
"The course is designed to help people improve their cycling skills, learn more about cycling on today's roads, and build their confidence.
"We hope as many people as possible take up this excellent opportunity."
It costs just £10 per person, payable before the course starts, and bookings can be made on 01702 215715 or by emailing cyclesouthend@southend.gov.uk
