Pumped for discounts at new fitness suite

Fitness fanatics, families and gym bunnies alike can rejoice at the new 150-station fitness suite opening at Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre.
Set over two massive floors, with separate free weights, cardio and resistance areas, members can relish in the new state-of-the-art equipment.
Those with iPod and iPhones can also take full advantage of touch screens which allow members to blast their own music and videos while exercising.
Consoles throughout the centre help users play and follow step-by-step tutorials to learn how to safely use equipment and ensure they are getting the most from their work-out.
It doesn't stop there. A range of membership options are available whether you like to exercise solo, in a couple, or as a family.
All options include a free gym induction, with use of Southend Leisure and Tennis Centre, Shoeburyness Leisure Centre, Westcliff's Chase Sports and Fitness Centre, and Belfairs Swim Centre in Leigh-on-SeaIf you decide to opt for the Ultimate membership, then you are free to use a world full of fitness classes, ranging from zumba to badminton, and gymnastics to diving lessons.
Pay as you go options are available to the more free-spirited, as well as value packages for the over 60s, under 17s, students in full-time education and those in receipt of certain benefits.
Together with discounts for Advantage Card holders and Parkwood Community Card holders, the new fitness suite is most certainly the affordable option.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: "The new fitness suite is a fantastic, affordable opportunity for people to get fit and healthy.
"The touch consoles provide step-by-step support and advice so that anyone can join and get the support they need to succeed on their journey."
