Getting kids active can be a never ending battle. Sometimes, the hardest part is even keeping them interested.
Luckily Shoeburyness Leisure Centre has announced the launch of their hugely entertaining and engaging Cheerleading classes.
Taught as part of the Sway Dance scheme, every Tuesday between 4pm to 4:45pm, kids can partake in organised routines.
They will have the opportunity to learn valuable physical skills including tumbling, jumps and cheers, allowing them to raise their confidence and get exercising.
Anyone between five to nine years is welcome, with sessions costing just £3.50 per person.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: "It's so important to ensure children are interested in exercise and their well-being.
"Incorporating new activities and classes keeps them intrigued, helping them have a healthy future."
