FREE lunchtime recitals for all!

A free lunchtime concert takes place in Southend Civic Centre on Wednesday 16th November

A free high quality cultural opportunity is available this month as the series of free lunchtime recitals continues on Wednesday 16th November.

 

 

 

Music for soprano and piano will be performed by Jenny Haxell and Richard Reed.  

Both musicians are Essex based, but have gallivanted around the UK, spreading their performances far and wide for all to enjoy.  

Soprano Jenny Haxell, has performed for British Youth Opera and played major roles in opera across the South East.  

Richard Reed, piano, has shown off his talents across and beyond Essex, regularly accompanying singers and choirs in the region.  

Their recital will include music by Haydn, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Purcell, Sullivan and much more.

It will last 45 minutes, from 12.15pm to 1pm, and takes place in the Council Chamber of Southend Civic Centre, Victoria Avenue, Southend.

The concert is completely free to attend and all residents and visitors are welcome to take advantage and see local musicians perform.

These recitals take place monthly throughout the year. The next is on Wednesday 18th January, when Rosalind Ventris will play a selection of music for viola.
