The popular Southend-on-Sea Borough Council Concert Series continues with its new season of top quality professional concerts at affordable prices.
Friday 25th November will see a recital of music for violin and piano, as performed by prestigious young violinist, Min-Jin Kym, accompanied by the excellent Ian Brown.
The evening, at the Plaza Centre (Southend Christian Fellowship Centre), 600 Southchurch Road, Southend, SS1 2PT, will feature three fantastic major works for violin and piano, including Mozart Sonata in G, Prokofiev Sonata No. 2 in D and Faure's wonderful Sonata in A.
Born in South Korea, Min-Jin Kym became the youngest ever student to be accepted at the Purcell School of Music, London, at the tender age of seven years old.
She has since won numerous awards and competitions and performed as a soloist in Italy, Switzerland, France, Spain, London and Korea.
Ian Brown is one of the most well-established solo and chamber pianists in the UK.
His successful career has seen him work with other popular musicians such as James Galway and Dame Felicity Lott.
The Council's Concert Series is open to everyone. Audience members can also benefit from Concert Membership for £7 (£6 concessions).
This will entitle them to discounted tickets for all the concerts in the series.
These continue in January with a recital of piano music by James Lisney, Other concerts will include performances by "Red Priest", "O Duo", and London Concertante.
