Enjoy a harmonious Christmas build-up, with resounding live performances of festive music in Southend High Street on Saturday 17th December,
As part of the Christmas programme, Southend Town Centre Partnership has organised this musical extravaganza, hosted by Southend Radio and featuring a wide range of local talents.
These include the stirring Salvation Army Band, the vibrant Funky Voices, and the bright tones of Southend Youth Arts plus many more!
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Deputy Leader, Councillor John Lamb said: "This event will give a terrific boost to the town, and will help enhance the festive atmosphere for residents and visitors.
"Southend's legendary Town Centre Christmas activities are a huge draw, bringing people flocking in from far and wide."
Dawn Jeakings, who chairs Southend Town Centre Partnership said: "This year's Carols for Christmas event, organised by the partnership, and supported by Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, is a perfect day to celebrate the festivities in the traditional way and we hope we will have some budding carol singers to join us."
Amongst the music, the ever popular Farmers & Craft Market will also be available on the High Street, offering seasonal delights and treats such as rustic breads, organic Christmas cakes, succulent sausages, free range eggs, delicious honeys, jams and chutneys and much more.
There will also be a Christmas Craft Market supplying a fantastic and unique range of gift ideas!
The stalls will be selling personalised gifts, wooden crafts, jewellery and many more unusual items not available anywhere else.
