Young people aged from 14 to 19 are invited to a wide-ranging Careers Fair on Wednesday 8th February.
The event, from 10am till 4pm at Shoeburyness Youth Centre, Delaware Road, Shoeburyness, includes representatives of at least 40 different local and national employers and training providers - as well as universities and colleges.
It is an ideal way for young people to see some of the opportunities available and talk over their possible next steps with many different people.
They can also find out about benefits, student bursaries, courses, and lots more. Connexions Personal Advisors will be ready to discuss any of the issues.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Children and Learning, Councillor Mark Flewitt said: "We hope as many young people as possilble will be able to attend.
"It is such a good chance to investigate all kinds of future paths they may well not have yet considered.
"We are delighted that such a variety of employers, training providers and educational institutions are represented, to offer our young people as wide a choice as possible.
"However there is still a chance for more to be involved. Just call 01702 534300 as soon as possible if you are interested in taking part as an exhibitor.
