Elmer Avenue – essential carriageway repairs

Elmer Avenue will be temporarily closed tomorrow (Tuesday 26th June) to allow essential carriageway repairs to be carried out.
No vehicular access will be permitted to Elmer Avenue from its junction with Queens Road from 6pm to 11pm.
The work is expected to take around five hours but the temporary road closure can remain in force for five days in the event of unexpected delays or remedial works.
While the road closure is in place an alternative diversionary route for traffic will be signed and access for residents will be maintained.
Vehicles belonging to Essex Police, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust are exempt.
