Essential resurfacing works – Thorpe Bay

Published Wednesday 27th June 12 in Council - news and information releases news

Roads closed for resurfacing works.

Station Road and Acacia Drive in Thorpe Bay will be temporarily closed to traffic next week to allow for essential resurfacing works.

No vehicle will be permitted to enter, wait, load or unload in either road between the junctions with the Thorpe Hall Roundabout and Maplin Way from Monday (2nd July).

However, residents will be allowed to access the road for parking purposes between 8pm and 6am the following morning.

The resurfacing will be completed as soon as possible but the temporary closure notice could remain in place for up to five days to allow for unexpected delays and remedial works.

During this period traffic will be directed to follow an alternative signed diversionary route.

Vehicles belonging to Essex Police, Essex County Fire and Rescue Service and the East of England Ambulance NHS Trust are exempt.
