Have you been watching the Olympics and been inspired to become active? Then why not join the next Running Sisters series! This is a great way to get fit and make new friends.
The popular six-week running course for females aged 16 and above, starts on Wednesday 5th September in Chalkwell Park from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
It then continues every Wednesday at the same time and place, until Wednesday 10th October.
No previous experience is needed, and it costs just £16 for the whole course.
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: "Running Sisters has proved to be a very successful way to encourage girls and women to get involved in keeping fit.
"The courses, which are led by qualified instructors, are fun, very affordable and also a good way to meet new people and make new friends."
