International pianist, John Lill launches the new season of performances in Southend-on-Sea Borough Council’s Concert Series on Friday 12th October.
John Lill has many recordings and broadcasts to his name, and performs across the world in concertos and as a soloist.
He has played with all the UK's major orchestras, frequently performs at the BBC Proms and at other prestigious festivals around the world.
His programme starting at 8pm on Friday 12th October at the Plaza Centre, Southchurch Road, Southend, SS1 2PT will be Mozart Sonata in D K576; Schumann Fantasy in C, Op 17;Chopin Ballade in F minor; Beethoven Sonata in F minor, 'Appassionata'
This is the first in the series of eight chamber concerts, which will include performances by Sacconi String Quartet, The Songmen, Locrian Piano Quartet, Antony Peebles (piano) and Arensky Chamber Orchestra Soloists.
The Council has promoted this series of professional chamber music concerts for more than 20 years offering high quality performances for very reasonable prices.

Membership of the Concert Series costs just £7 (£6 concessions).
Tickets to the concerts range from £5 to £10, and a greater saving can be achieved with a subscription for whole eight-concert series for just £56 (£49 concessions
