Invitation to dance!

 

A new timetable has just been announced for Sway Dance sessions at Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre, Chase Fitness Centre and Shoeburyness Leisure Centre.  

There are fun classes in Street Dance, Ballet, Musical Theatre, Parent/Toddler and Zumbatomic taught by professional and qualified teachers in a fun and enjoyable environment.

 Everyone who books a block of ten sessions will receive a free Sway T-Shirt, and the classes which start this month, cost between £3 and £3.50.  

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: "There are dance forms here to suit every taste - especially important as dance is such a popular activity for schoolchildren.   

"Dance increases stamina, muscle strength and can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, improve moods and promote a general feeling of well being. 

"It is also an excellent way of keeping fit for a cardio workout.  

"We hope as many children and young people as possible will come along to explore and enjoy these energetic classes."
