Children from four years old are invited to sign up for Aquazone swimming classes at Shoeburness Leisure Centre to boost their swimming confidence over half term

Youngsters from four years old upwards can join the Aquazone Crash Course swimming lessons at Shoeburyness Leisure Centre this half term.

The sessions at the Centre in Delaware Road, Shoeburyness from Monday 29th October until Friday 2ndNovember between 9am and 10am, are a great way to build water confidence and help children start to learn a life-saving skill.

They cost £20 for five days, with special rates for Advantage Card holders. Those with A/B Advantage Cards can gain a ten per cent discount, while those with category C/D are entitled to a 50 per cent discount.

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Culture and Tourism, Councillor Derek Jarvis said: "The enjoyable and fun course is based around the ASA National Teaching Plan, which develops confidence, water skills and stroke technique.

"We hope as many as possible will take up this terrific opportunity to introduce swimming to youngsters - as it is such a good way of keeping fit and healthy, and can help save their lives."
