Havens Green Belt hospice plans rejected

Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Development Control Committee has rejected Havens' plans to build a new hospice on Green Belt land off Belton Way, Leigh.
The committee rejected the plans unanimously after hearing submissions in favour and against at a packed meeting in the Council Chamber at the Civic Centre this afternoon (Wednesday 17th October).
