Young carers reach new heights at special event!

A challenging climbing wall is just one of many fun features at an activities day for Young Carers at the new Shoebury Youth Centre.
Connexions is staging this event from 10.30am till 3pm on Wednesday 25th August at the newly-opened state-of-the-art Centre in Delaware Road , Shoebury.
Young Carers from throughout Essex have been invited to the day which also includes Street Dance performances and Workshops, Gym, Nail Art, Yoga Classes, Wii games, Team Challenges, Badge Making, Karaoke, Cooking demos, tasty fruits, Arts & Crafts and lots, lots more!
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council's Executive Councillor for Children & Learning, Councillor Roger Hadley, said: "This type of unique event is such an important factor to give the young carers of Southend a break which they rightly deserve.
"We could not praise these children and young people enough for the caring help they give to family members day in and day out. They are a real inspiration to others in Southend."
