Rail

There are nine railway stations, seven on the Fenchurch Street line;

• Shoeburyness
• Thorpe Bay
• Southend East
• Southend Central
• Westcliff on Sea
• Chalkwell
• Leigh on Sea

and two on the Liverpool Street line;

• Southend Victoria
• Prittlewell

This means that the majority of the towns population live within one mile of a station. A minimum of seven trains an hour run between each line and the journey time is only 45-60 minutes which is often less time than it takes to travel across London. Both rail lines link in well with the London Underground and DLR. Connections are available from the Central, Jubilee, Circle and District Lines to name just a few.
