Southend Insights

Southend Insights aims to provide access to key information, data and intelligence about the residents of Southend and the communities they live in. By better understanding the needs of local residents and communities, we can more effectively provide the right services for the right people at the right time.

Southend Insights will also act as Southend's Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) informing the work of the Health and Wellbeing Board and commissioners across Southend.

Community and Living
	Information and intelligence about people including population estimates and forecasts, census reports, and the Index of Multiple Deprivation.

Physical Environment
	Information and intelligence about housing and the environment. Content currently in development and will be available to view soon.

Economy and Unemployment
	Information and intelligence about the local economy, including unemployment, benefit claimants and labour market data.

Health and Wellbeing
	Information and intelligence about health, social care, mental wellbeing, healthy lifestyles and Older People.

Children and Young People
	Information and intelligence about children and young people, including school examination performance and youth services. Content currently in development and will be available to view soon.

Crime and Community Safety
	Information and intelligence about crime, fire and rescue incidents and community safety. Content currently in development and will be available to view soon.

Equality and Inclusion
	Equality and Inclusion is at the heart of what the Council does. The equality information here highlights information the authority uses in developing polices, delivering effective targeted services and meeting the needs of service users and residents.
