The 11 plus examination is run by the Consortium of Selective Schools in Essex (CSSE) and assesses whether grammar school is a suitable option for your child. If your child is achieving above the national expectations in their classwork then you should consider if a local grammar school is a suitable option for them. Southend has four grammar schools, Southend High School for Girls, Southend High School for Boys, Westcliff High School for Girls and Westcliff High School for Boys.
Please note in registering for the 11 plus, you are registering to take the examination. An application to the grammar school of your choice will also be required.
