You must be registered in order to vote in the upcoming Essex PFCC elections, Local Government elections and Leigh-on-Sea Town Council Elms ward by election taking place on Thursday 6 May 2021.
- The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Monday 19 April
- The deadline to apply to vote by post or amend an existing postal or proxy vote is 5pm on Tuesday 20 April
- The deadline for applying to vote by proxy is 5pm on 27 April
Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm. If you would like to register for future elections, you can visit the GOV.UK or call the Southend Elections Team on 01702 215010.
If you are registered to vote in person you must vote at your assigned polling station.

If you are registered to vote but you don't have your poll card, you can go to the polling station and give them your name and address.
