South Essex Homes Partnership Consultation Outcome

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to offer feedback on the South Essex Homes Partnership consultation which ran from 22 July to 18 August 2019.

As noted, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is renewing its Partnership Agreement with South Essex Homes in order to build on commitments made in the Housing, Homelessness and Rough Sleeping Strategy 2018-28 that was agreed by Council in December 2018, along with the Council’s Southend 2050 ambitions.

The new agreement will commence in the coming months for 5 years and will be reviewed again in 2024, with the possibility of a further 5 year extension. There will be no changes to tenancies, properties, any services provided by South Essex Homes or anything that impacts tenants as a result of the new Partnership Agreement. The new agreement will only seek to renew the partnership arrangements between both organisations.

There were a total of eight online responses to the survey and one telephone call.  None of these responses raised any concerns with regards to the Partnership Agreement renewal, with feedback content outlining that renewal of the agreement is indicative of satisfactory performance from South Essex Homes and that this is anticipated continue in the future.

We will continue to keep tenants informed of any future updates through formal communication methods as necessary. However, should you have any general tenant issues or concerns you wish to discuss further, please contact South Essex Homes directly on 0800 833 160 or sehcustomerservices@seh.southend.gov.uk
