Climate Change

Nature Smart Cities across the 2 Seas

This is a European funded programme (Interreg 2 Seas) led by us that will help local authorities in England, France, Belgium and the Netherlands deliver exciting green space projects across their towns and cities.

We will be exploring how green space projects help local areas reduce the future impacts of climate change. Research has shown that increasing the amount of green space can reduce the risk of flooding and reduce temperatures as well as other economic and social benefits (including health and well-being and encouraging people to do more exercise outside).

The main result of the project will be a new business model that local authorities can use to justify the cost of delivering green space projects.

Further information about Nature can be found on the Nature Smart Cities across the 2 Seas website.
