2imprezs is a European funded project through the Interreg North Sea Region programme. It aims to work with schools to help them become more energy efficient by reducing their carbon emissions and the cost of energy bills in the process.
Working with 20 primary schools across the Borough we aim to help them reduce their energy use by 30%.
Energy savings will be achieved through a pupil-led behaviour change programme where students take steps to reduce their energy use. E.g. making sure all lights and computer screens are turned off when they are not in use.
The programme will be supported by an energy saving scheme agreed between us and the school, with a series of energy saving technologies delivered to the schools, including energy efficient lighting and solar panels.
