What is the 'Making It Work' Scheme?

Making It Work is a scheme that gives people with learning disabilities the opportunity to have a real job.

People taking part in Making It Work have a range of skills. You don't need to be able to read or have number skills to take part.

What type of support is available?

We provide free support for both the employee and employer. We can help with:

  • Training in work skills
  • Helping an employee to join the workforce
  • Help with communication between employee and work colleagues
  • Providing a Job Coach. They will stay with an employee to give continuous support.

We can make sure that you get your right wages and benefits.

We will support you to think about how you will get to work.
