Development and consents
All development in the Conservation Area should follow the advice in the Conservation Area appraisal and, in particular respect the features which contribute to its special character. Note that planning permission and listed building consent may be needed.
Article 4 Direction
The Conservation Area Appraisal for Shoebury Garrison (adopted March 2022), makes a recommendation to provide an Article 4 direction for this area, and work is underway to bring this forward, although currently there is no Article 4 Direction adopted for Shoebury Garrison Conservation Area.
