Shoeburyness Coastal Management Scheme
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council is consulting on potential recommendations to protect Southend-on-Sea frontage from flood and coastal erosion.
Four options have been developed for the 2km stretch of coast between Thorpe Bay Yacht Club and the World War II Quick Battery.
Details of these options can be found in the Shoeburyness Coastal Management Scheme - Non Technical Summary document.
The questionnaire seeks your views on these options and your preferences for which one should be taken forward to protect the foreshore, housing and business in this area. The area that this questionnaire focuses on is only the stretch of coast between Thorpe Bay Yacht Club and the World War II Quick Battery, as shown in Figure 1 of the Non-Technical Summary.
