There is less than one week left to vote for your favourite Christmas window in our best festive business competition

The competition is designed to encourage local companies to enter the festive spirit, brighten up the town and decorate their business with as many Christmas decorations as they like, before posting a photo on social media.

The public can then cast their vote by liking their favourite photo on Facebook. The winning business will receive a promotional video worth £500 made by Blatella Films.

The competition closes on Wednesday 12 December. The winner and two runners up will be awarded a certificate from The Worshipful The Mayor, Cllr Derek Jarvis on Friday 14 December.

38 businesses have entered so far and votes are being cast so hurry!

Cllr James Courtenay, cabinet member for growth, said: “We want to celebrate those businesses that go the extra mile to bring the festive spirit to the town and season’s greetings to residents and visitors to the town.

“There has always been a lot of thought and effort gone into the entries and this year will be no different I’m sure. I’m pleased there are already 38 businesses, but let’s see if we can encourage a few last minute entries and really make this competition one to be part of. And to residents and visitors, please take part and head to our Biz-on-Sea Network Facebook page to cast your vote.”

To view the entries please visit the Buisness-on-Sea Facebook page.

There’s still time to enter your business. To take part, post a picture on social media mentioning @BusinessOnSea using #BestFestiveBiz18. Alternatively, pictures can be emailed to the Economic Development Team.

Businesses can download and print the Best Festive Business poster from our website and the competition is open until 12 December.
