Southend business survey launched

Together with the Southend Business Partnership we are pleased to announce that the annual Southend business survey is now available.

Illustration of hands typing on a laptop, it says Southend Business Survey 2021 on the screen.

This survey is aimed at business people in the local community and will be open for four weeks.

In order to ensure the Council and the Southend Business Partnership to make best use of their resources to support businesses, we would like to hear honest views from the Southend business community on the opportunities, challenges and support needed, both immediately and in the future.

Businesses have experienced the unprecedented combination of the COVID-19 pandemic and Brexit within the past 18 months. Whilst the level of impact these things have had on individual businesses varies, the desire to recover and thrive in a changing business climate is the same for all.

The survey is designed with a few short and pertinent questions, the answers to which will enable the council and support organisations in the area to better understand the needs of local business. It should take about 5-10 minutes to complete and the results will then help inform the development and delivery of business support packages.

Ian Gilbert, leader of the council said: “If you have a business in the borough of Southend-on-Sea, please ensure you get involved in this annual survey. Your views on what is important for our local economy at this time will help shape future business support services.”
