Opening Times, Ticket Prices and Pier Train Information

We are extremely excited to announce that the Pier will be returning with a limited re-opening from Monday 6th July.

Southend Pier will be reopening its doors from Monday 6th July for walking only. Due to current Government social distancing advise we will unfortunately not be able to run the Pier trains. Visitors will still be able to enjoy the 1.3 mile walk out to the end of the Pier (2.6 mile return trip). Takeaway services will be open everyday offering drinks, snacks, ice cream and fish and chips. Fishermen will also be welcomed back on the Pier with fishing only permitted at the end of the Pier, and under social distancing measures.

We have been working hard to make sure that all our visitors are kept safe when they visit the Pier. Extra sanitising stations will be in place, one way systems, increased cleaning, takeaway services and contactless payments.

If you have any queries please contact a member of the Pier team on 01702 215620.
