Organising a street party
Our Service
Street parties are a traditional part of community life; they are a simple way for you to get to know your neighbours, members of your community and have a great time. And here at Southend Borough Council we want to help make organising your street party as simple and straightforward as possible.
We encourage all street party organisers to talk to us well in advance of the proposed event to ensure everything runs as smoothly and safely as possible. We can answer any queries you may have, advise you on your responsibilities and our requirements.
If you would like to organise a street party you will need to complete and submit an Application for a Street Party Permit which will confirm you have the permission you need to hold your event and close your road.
You can also check out the links to useful websites on the right for lots more hints and tips on how to make your street party one to remember.
