Southend-on-Sea Borough Council

Delivering in Partnership

Southend Together Partnership Structure

The Southend Together Partnership structure consists of:

  • The Executive
  • Performance Management Group

The Executive is responsible for agreeing the Community Plan which sets the ambitions for Southend.  They provide strategic direction to partnership working by setting the priorities for local action.

The Performance Management Group monitors the delivery of priorities to ensure key outcomes and targets are met.

Priority Leadership Groups (PLGs) are responsible for providing a forum within which partners can effectively work together to plan and deliver specific services for the local community.

Southend Together has three Priority Leadership Groups which are:

Health and Wellbeing Board

Leads on joining up commissioning of local NHS services, social care and health improvements. The group look at 'cradle to grave' health provision and wider issues that impact on individual's wellbeing.

Community Safety PLG

Provides direction to the work to reduce crime, fear of crime and increase residents confidence in their safety where they live.

Enterprise PLG

Southend is part of the Kent, Greater Essex & East Sussex Local Enterprise Partnership but this requires a local  structure underneath it to localise decisions and action, providing local leadership across issues such as planning and housing, local transport and infrastructure, skills, employment and enterprise.
