A day by the sea or a short break is always something special and Southend-on-Sea has always offered its visitors the warmest of welcomes, whether on business or for pleasure.

Located inside the Pier's award-winning entrance, the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) provides a wide range of services as part of the national Tourist Information Centre network and can help you plan your next visit. The Visitor Information Centre provides the following services:

• You can obtain your free SeaSmart wristband in co-operation with the coastguard. 
• Booking agents for the National Express and Euroline coaches.
• Bookings for local events, boat and coach trips.
• Same day accommodation search and bookings (for personal callers only).
• Friendly and knowledgeable advice on where to go and what's on in Southend.
• The sale of a range of merchandise, maps, guides, bus, train, tide timetables and theatre tokens.
• Keys for disabled toilets under the national RADAR scheme.
• Advance booking for day hire of wheelchairs.
