Conservation Area Character Appraisals

Character appraisals are being produced for each of the City's Conservation Areas. In each case the appraisal:

• identifies the special historical and architectural interest of the Conservation Area
• reviews its boundaries and controls; and
• includes a Management Plan for the future

The appraisals will:

• assist preparation of local planning policies
• inform decision on planning applications; and
• guide any future highway proposals in the area

A new conservation area has been approved and appraisal undertaken:

• Hamlet Court Road CAA
