What we pay our staff

Our Pay Policy Statement outlines our approach to the pay and reward of our staff and meets the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.

It should be read jointly with our Reward Policy to understand our position on pay and reward, how this underpins our organisational values and helps us drive up performance.

The policies apply to all staff employed by the Council (other than those in schools) and show how the workforce at all levels will be rewarded for the work they do.

The Pay Policy Statement includes details of our pay multiple.

The Reward Policy includes details of our staff salary bands including those of Senior Managers. It also has details of Performance Related Pay and Soulbury Agreement arrangements.

The Reward Policy has been divided into separate areas for each Appendix for ease of use.
