Noise complaints
London Southend Airport (LSA) is required by law to have a Noise Action Plan to set out how it limits and minimises the number of people affected by aircraft noise. This is regulated by Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and not Southend-On-Sea City Council.
Noise complaints should initially be made to LSA through an online system called WebTrak. This gives you the opportunity to identify an individual aircraft that has caused noise. Please select Investigate on the WebTrak site to find out how to make a complaint.
Alternatively complaints can be made in writing to:
The Noise ManagerLondon Southend Airport
Southend-on-Sea

For a complaint about individual aircraft LSA will assess if it compliant with the Noise Action Plan and you will be notified by whether or not it is. Where your complaint is not about a specific flight there is a form for more general complaints.
Please see LSA's Noise Management website for more information.
All comments regarding noise at the airport will be recorded by LSA and entered on a Noise Complaint Database. Complaints will be reported annually to the Airport Consultative Committee (ACC) who will monitor the complaints and the Airport Company's responses and complaint resolution.
