The Development Control Committee meets on a Wednesday at 2pm every 4 weeks to consider major and contentious planning applications. The dates for up and coming Development Control Committees can be found on our meetings, minutes and agendas system.
Objections
We operate a system of 'public participation', where if you want to object to an application for planning permission (or related consents) you have the opportunity to make your case in person to the Development Control Committee. The applicant is similarly given a right of reply if you do object.
We have targets for the time it takes to deal with applications and there are strict timetables and criteria which need to be adhered and that includes for those seeking to make representations at Committee.
