Southchurch Business Expo 2025 celebrates local enterprise and collaboration

Southend-on-Sea City Council is celebrating the success of this year’s Southchurch Business Expo.

A view of a business expo where a range of people are walking around different business set ups.

The event, which brought together local businesses, entrepreneurs and community groups to share ideas, build connections and strengthen the city's business community, is the third of its kind. Organised by the council's Business-on-Sea team in partnership with Project Southchurch, and hosted at Southend Christian Fellowship at The Plaza. Local company Kursaal Plant Hire Ltd sponsored this year's expo, which saw dozens of exhibitors and visitors take part.

The expo offered a vibrant business marketplace, showcasing the wide range of services, products, and talent within Southend, while providing practical advice and networking opportunities for new and established businesses alike.

Cllr Matt Dent, cabinet member for Business, Culture, Music and Tourism, said:
"It's fantastic to see the Southchurch Business Expo go from strength to strength. Events like this are vital in helping local businesses grow, connect, and share opportunities, and the enthusiasm in the room shows just how strong Southend's business community is.

"I'd like to thank Project Southchurch, our hosts at Southend Christian Fellowship, and sponsors Kursaal Plant Hire Ltd for their continued support in helping our city's businesses navigate success."

If you missed the Southchurch event, there's still time to get involved. The Leigh-on-Sea Business Expo will take place on Tuesday 21 October, from 8am to 12pm at Belfairs Methodist Church Hall. Book your free ticket today via the Leigh-on-Sea Business Expo Tickets event page on Eventbrite.
