We're developing a new Local Transport Plan (LTP4) that will shape the future of transport in Southend-on-Sea from 2027 to 2045.
We want to hear your views before the plan is finalised. Visit our consultation website to share your views.
What is LTP4?
LTP4 sets out our vision and priorities for improving transport in Southend-on-Sea up to 2045.
It has been developed by Southend-on-Sea City Council, working with local people, to ensure LTP4 works for people who visit, work, study or live in Southend-on-Sea.
We want transport in Southend-on-Sea to:
- be accessible and easy to use and understand
- support safe, active travel, healthy lifestyles and a healthier environment
- help Southend-on-Sea thrive and grow sustainably
Have your say
We are now asking for your views on LTP4, in particular the policies that are being proposed and the action plans for delivering them, including walking, cycling, public transport, roads, accessibility, safety and air quality.
Please go to Local Transport Plan 4 (LTP4) to read the draft LTP4 and complete and submit a consultation survey. Your feedback will help shape the final Local Transport Plan.
The consultation closes at 5pm on 17 November 2026.
Drop-in Session
