As part of the development, Southend-on-Sea Borough Council are creating a new innovation facility hub called ‘The Launchpad’. This is being funded by the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP) Local Growth Fund.
The Launchpad will be the first building to champion real innovation in the area for start-ups and SMEs, and will be a hub of activity.
BDP have been appointed as architects to develop and design this new and exciting building.
The building will consist of 3,254 metres square (Msq) gross internal area (GIA) floor areas, on a site of approximately 9,825 Msq. It is proposed to be three storeys in height, with a mix of offices, workshops, research facilities and break out spaces, along with a café and seminar space.
